Thirty percent of the volume of a bottle of Celtic Mead is pure honey taken from the foot of the Tararua Mountains (pre varroa mite).
After a slow fermentation the wine is racked and left to mature for a year before bottling.
The rich flavours hidden in the honey manifest to produce a wine that is unique.
Delicious at room temperature with pork, pasta or cheeses.
